Breakfast

One of the things I really look forward to, when doing a trip to Taiwan, ids the breakfast of the first morning there. For us it is a ritual, to go to the local small shop and enjoy a true traditional breakfast, as it is eaten by thousand of Taiwanese every day.

Our locale shop is one a corner of 2 small roads and a typical shop managed by a family. You fill out your order by making marks on a small menu card, and hand it to mother, father will cook and daughter will serve and finally you pay to grandma.

Our first breakfast is typically some noodles, some meat sauce, some dices made out of  radish, warm soya milk and coffee for me (I am not that locale!) and the meal is fantastic, and states very clearly - you are now in Taiwan!
The meal for 2 persons cost about 100twd or 3$ and is the right way to start the day, so leave the buffet at the hotel, make a few turn down some small streets and try it out!
