Hot Pot

Taiwanese loves food. I use to joke that their whole life is about food. While they are having breakfast, they discuss where to eat lunch, and while they eat lunch, they walk through their options for dinner.
One of their favourite dishes is Hot Pot. This gives them the impression, that they are actually cooking, which very few Taiwanese normally are doing. It is much easier, cheaper and delicious to eat out. Once you have Hot Pot, all the ingredients are brought to the table, and you boil it in a pot on the middle of the table.

Everything is naturally prepared for you, so all need to do, is to dump it into the boiling soup and remember to take it up before it is too late. There will be many vegtables, the mushrooms are fantastic, many types of meat and much seafood.

Hot Pot is much food, mainly because you become the chef, but also beacuse the meal takes much longer this way. Taiwanese love food, but they are focused and productive, and they do not normally share the tendency of the danes to spend a whole night on a meal.

The pictures are from a lunch with 2 of Wens 2 girlfriends, 4 persons in total.
